minted_cow Icon : (Today, 05:02 AM) tupac and biggie faked their own deaths so they could be gay with each other in palm beach. True story
GreenBeret Icon : (Today, 01:35 AM) Course it looks like he may have lost a few pounds.
GreenBeret Icon : (Today, 01:29 AM) I saw Biggie Smalls the other day in Pittsburgh. He was on the sidelines with Heinz Ward.
The Gasman Icon : (Today, 01:04 AM) He was down here in Branson Mo last week.
The Gasman Icon : (Today, 12:59 AM) I dunno, but I know Tupac is still alive.
GreenBeret Icon : (Today, 12:56 AM) Why? Does Tyson get bumped off too in this one? :)
The Gasman Icon : (Today, 12:44 AM) This One night in Vegas with Tyson and Tupac is kinda cool.
GreenBeret Icon : (Today, 12:25 AM) Hossah never takes my junk.
Bassman Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) Hossah is my pc parts charity. ;) Rather see someone get some use out of my old stuff than to throw it away.
spamtastic Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) They have some charity drive thing like twice a year, I'm gonna save them for that. I'm guessing they melt the gold and metals out of the stuff.
spacemunky Icon : (Yesterday, 11:44 PM) I have a buncha that crap too that i need to get rid of.
spacemunky Icon : (Yesterday, 11:43 PM) I think some stores like Staples take old PC junk to recycle.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 10:28 PM) I only have a ton of PC parts. I think I'm just going to give them away next time they have an electronics pick up. I save them thinking I may need them some day, but the truth is they are always outdated by the time I need a part.
rwheele Icon : (Yesterday, 10:01 PM) My ex is/was headed that way. Since she took all her shit I am amazed at how clean the house it, the doors open all the way, it's great. Weird because 20 yrs ago she was a neat freak.
The Gasman Icon : (Yesterday, 09:01 PM) Yeah I don't think I could handle watching those people on there. I see those people on AP and wonder how in the hell they could have that much stuff just piled up.
Bassman Icon : (Yesterday, 07:25 PM) They also have a good show on there called Hoarders. They had a marathon yesterday. I probably watched 7 or 8 episodes of it.
The Gasman Icon : (Yesterday, 06:40 PM) I was flipping through the channels last night, and A&E had this show called obsessed on it. This one guy on there was obsessed with dust and stuff, he was driving in his car on the highway and a bug got on the windshield he had to stop in a parking lot and wipe it off with some clean wipes
nm2588 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:22 PM) weeeeeeeeeee
GreenBeret Icon : (Yesterday, 04:32 PM) Yeah. I knew she couldn't resist answering to my post telling Nate "Way to go Nate!" That after her saying she was going to end this childish conversation. Some people live to type. LOL
Bassman Icon : (Yesterday, 04:24 PM) Yea she made a big deal over nothing. LOL
GreenBeret Icon : (Yesterday, 04:14 PM) I had a big laugh on my Face Book page today when I seen Bass and Nate Moreland abusing a woman over their posting.
The Gasman Icon : (Yesterday, 02:08 PM) just read on the forums he was a coin appraiser that had been on a few times..
The Gasman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:58 PM) Yeah it looked good when they got it done. Wonder who the guy was that they showed the memoriam for at the end of the show?
Bassman Icon : (Yesterday, 12:24 PM) That 69 Skylark on PS last night was sweeet! I had a 71 that looked about like it. Mine was that puke green then the old man painted it gloss jet black. The body shop guy is right. Those rear bumpers are hard to find. The old man had to find one for mine after I backed into a pole.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 05:54 AM) neither of them deserve to be considered, but TCU is pretty close and wouldn't hurt my feelings.
Pder Icon : (Yesterday, 04:32 AM) They need a playoff for the NC. TCU may have a tougher schedule but I don't recall any picks going to Boise last year when they snuck away with the win over TCU.
rhamm Icon : (Yesterday, 04:11 AM) The Heisman has always been a joke.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 04:03 AM) And it's just dumb to ignore the last and most significant game of the year in selecting.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 04:03 AM) I wanted Ingram to win it, but I didn't at all like the whole process being right before the biggest game of the year.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 AM) it just throws a wrench into teams trying to focus on finishing the season
nm2588 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 AM) The Heisman has no meaning anymore anyway.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 04:01 AM) In 1936 when they started it, the bowl games were just exhibition games. Talk about needing to get with the times.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 04:00 AM) They need to move that trophy to the end of the year.
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 03:55 AM) Why does the media hype up Locker for the Heisman? He has no chance of winning it because Washington sucks and will be lucky to be over .500 this year.
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 03:47 AM) Yeah, TCU does have a tougher opponents in conference.
nm2588 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:47 AM) Guess we will have to see what the rest of the season brings. Like the Boise St coach said, it's only the first game. Who know what will happen.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:46 AM) Oregon's offense doesn't look to be hurting like people thought either.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:46 AM) plus Air Force is a decent team lately.
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 03:46 AM) Yeah NC could beat VT, but then again NC lost to a lousy LSU. However if NC had all their starters they would've' won that game.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:46 AM) because they still got Utah and BYU in the MWC this year
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:45 AM) TCU is the one that should be getting the attention, their schedule is much better
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:45 AM) The only way they are going to have a chance is for the people on their schedule to step it up
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:44 AM) that doesn't matter if they aren't a top25 team
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:44 AM) NC could beat VT
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 03:44 AM) That doesn't eliminate them from the Pac-10 title or being a top team in the Pac-10.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:43 AM) Oregon St already lost to TCU though
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 03:43 AM) I see VT being in contention for the ACC title this year. Oregon St. should be one of the top Pac-10 teams again also.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:42 AM) that is just that utah politican pandering to fans for votes
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:42 AM) no they won't
nm2588 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:41 AM) If there are only two undereated teams and they are one and they don't get picked, Congress will step in after the season is over.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:41 AM) VT has a slow D, they are going to lose more games. Oregon St is going to drop out of the top 25. Unless one of those other teams steps up on their schedule, they don't have a chance.
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 AM) There would be one reason. Boise isn't in a BCS conference.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 AM) they just got hyped up for this game
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 AM) they won't get picked
nm2588 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:39 AM) If they are undefeated after the end of the year, there is no reason they can't be considered for the NC Game.
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 03:38 AM) It wasn't pass interference. The VT guy had his hands on the DB. It was a good no call. A good call on the no block in the back. The guy had his head in front of him and hit him on the side.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:37 AM) now Oregon St isn't even in top 25 and their SOS is even worse.
nm2588 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:37 AM) They were both fighting for the ball. I figured the flag would have come out.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:36 AM) thank the refs
nm2588 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:35 AM) SUCK IT ASSBURGER!!! Boise St Won!
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:34 AM) bad call, he wasn't going for the ball with his hands on the reciever.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:28 AM) no pads and to get hit like that has to hurt.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:27 AM) oh man that guy got creamed in the back of the end zone
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:20 AM) I came very close to turning it off in the 1st qtr it looked so lobsided
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:19 AM) been a good game
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:09 AM) I had to run her off. After like 10 minutes of uniform discussion ranging from the pads looking small, to what kind of pad that is on their back, to color I couldn't take anymore.
Rook Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 AM) My wife commented on how pretty the blue uniforms were
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 03:01 AM) ugh, freaking women. Sit around and watch a game and all they want to do is talk about what color the uniforms are.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 02:58 AM) wow if that is not down
nm2588 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:45 AM) I can't stand Assburger. You can tell he doesn't like Boise St and wants them to loose. ESPN needs to get some new talent.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 02:40 AM) the VT player got there same time as the ball, you can hit same time as ball, just not before.
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 02:34 AM) Good call to go for it. Another dumb mistake by Boise.
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 02:33 AM) That's why I said they were similar, but not the same result.
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 02:32 AM) The no call VT got the DB hit the receiver before the ball was there.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 02:31 AM) he hit him before the ball got there
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 02:30 AM) it's not about contact, it's about when
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 02:30 AM) good call
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 02:30 AM) No more contact than the no call VT got.
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 02:30 AM) That was a crappy PI call.
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 02:27 AM) Looks more like the defense they ran then being slow.
phathead Icon : (Yesterday, 02:25 AM) lol
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 02:25 AM) slow D
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 02:24 AM)
The Gasman Icon : (Yesterday, 02:23 AM) your wife
phathead Icon : (Yesterday, 02:20 AM) You guys have any recommendations for something to clean the screen of my plasma?
JTM Icon : (Yesterday, 02:18 AM) Nevermind.....
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 02:03 AM) there was like 3 or 4 guys who shoulda stopped that run up the middle
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 02:01 AM) VT D looks slow
Rook Icon : (Yesterday, 01:48 AM) as difficult as that is to say!
Rook Icon : (Yesterday, 01:48 AM) I would prefer that as well
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 01:45 AM) but I hope VT wins and ends the whole thing completely.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 01:44 AM) even if BSU wins I don't think they deserve to be a top5 team.
Rook Icon : (Yesterday, 01:43 AM) I'm kinda stuck with who to root for....I despise VT but I'd like to see Boise St get beat just so people will STFU about them....of course then I'd have to listen to Cowherd brag about how right he was
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 01:29 AM) shut the fuck up already, we get it.
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 01:29 AM) these announcers are annoying me with this little guy bs
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 01:28 AM) or the day after that
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 01:28 AM) or just wait til tommorow when it comes on again
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 01:28 AM) DVR PS IMO
Brandynr Icon : (Yesterday, 01:07 AM) Fuckin' wireless networks... I don't know if its the router, or noise or something... But it's acting all funky
spamtastic Icon : (Yesterday, 01:01 AM) this VT review isn't a TD either

It's time for another fun-loving 36 rounds of Pick 'Ems.... and this year things will be slightly different but not overly complicated (for you anyway, a little more complicated for me tho) so as not to damage the brainless concept behind the whole thing. Things will be addressed as to not discourage participants, mostly in the points systems. For those that will be playing for the championship, please read the whole thing. You can find out about past Pick 'Em seasons and winners, here - http://www.teamslm.com/random.html

New Stuff

Provisionals: You will have 6 provisionals for the entire year. 3 in the first half of the season (1-18) and 3 in the second half of the season (19-36). If you exceed 3 in either the first half or second half you will not get prov points for those additional races. However, after the first half, regardless of how many races you missed, you will be given 3 more prov points for the second half. Prov points are as follows...

First Half

Miss 1 race - +40 points
Miss 2 races - +20 points
Miss 3 races - +10 points
Miss 4+ races - 0 points

Resets after race #18

Second Half

Miss 1 race - +40 points
Miss 2 races- +20 points
Miss 3 races - +10 points
Miss 4+ races - 0 points

For those non-casual players who want prov points, please post in this thread that you want Prov points. I am not going to keep track of all 40-60 zoo members that might occasionally play a pick 'em yet care little about championship points.

If you decide to start playing in week 2 or week 3 or even week 5, let me know and I will add the prov points retroactively. But you must let me know.

Bonus Points
If you complete all picks in the first half - +100 points
If you complete all picks in the second half - +100 points
If you complete all picks in both halves of the season - +50 points

For a race to be counted as completed, ALL questions must be answered (unless by chance you forget a few, which happens).

+20 Championship points for winning a weekend
+20 Championship points for coming in last during a weekend

To qualify for the 20+ points for coming in last, all questions must be answered. The answers have to be a genuine attempt at doing well, and not just misc garbage in order to come in last and get 20 points for sucking ass.

+30 Championship points for winning the most races all year
+30 Championship points for coming in last the most all year

Format Changes

The questions will be put up the Monday or Tuesday before the start of the race. This will give everyone a good week to get answers in.

Unless I die in the next few months, I will be the only person to put up questions. I will make sure they are varied, unique, and fairly interesting on a weekly basis. I will also be the only person to answer them and do the points. Please feel free to double check your points, because I am known to frequently fuck them up. I will be keeping track of points, wins, lasts, bonus points, starts, and provionsals. I will be using excel and the points will be posted in the forum and in html on the teamslm.com website.

I will answer the questions and do the points in a timely manner. However, sometimes life does happen and it is hard to get to them or even get in the right mindframe to sit down and get all the answers and add up the points. I will not let them go 1-2 weeks like happend last year. That being said...

-20 Points to anyone that asks, 'When will the points be done?' or any variation of that question.

The penalty will include an additional -20 points for each additional question following the above format. (ask me 6 times throughout the course of the year and that 6th question will be -120 point penalty). These will be RACE points, not championship points. Again, trust that I won't take as long as I did last year and just be patient. After the race is complete, the questions/answers will be moved to the sub-forum 2006 Zoo Pick 'Em located here. If you do not see this sub-forum (underneath the Arcade folder) in the general discussion forum, let me know.

http://www.teamslm.c...php?showforum=8

That way the quest/answers won't get bumped off the page and everything is kept together.

Now for the good stuff... prizes! Just to keep things interesting and giving some incentive.

First Place -

ML's Crazy Crash DVD (A crash compilation of the 20+ years of NASCAR/ARCA/BUSCH races I have taped. Only the good stuff made this dvd). All recorded from TV, all crashes including the live broadcast and commentary. No music. This will be including box and cover art, & menus. I'll do it up nice. You will also recieve a backup copy of the dvd (in a paper sleeve). Both will be recorded on the highest quality dvd.

You will also get a DVD including NR2003 recap videos of IROC events made by myself (ML), and TNT race recap videos made by NASCAR NUT (I will use BRN radio broadcasts as well, unless the folks at BRN would like me not to). The dvd will also include favorite screenshots through the years and previously unseen hi-def (ok, more like higher resolution images that will look better on tv) recaps and boardracing highlight videos. Also with box & cover art, & menus. Also it will come with a backup dvd in a paper sleeve. This compilation might be two discs. I haven't finished it yet but the high-def replays take up a lot of space. Haven't tested it out on a tv yet but it will probably look & play better on your computer. But I will try hard to get everything to look good on a tv.

You will also get your own customized second line of information under your post counter/avatar. No more misc facts about NASCAR drivers... be the coolest zoo'er on the block with hip new sentences. You can change it whenever you want until the start of the 2007 Pick 'Em season when it goes back to some random NASCAR driver.

Second Place

NR2003 Compilation DVD

Third Place

NR2003 Compilation DVD

Lowest Finisher with at least 25 Starts (including Prov starts)

NR2003 Compilation DVD
1 Year Subscription to the Jimmy Johnson & Team Lowes Fan Club

If ML wins or places 2nd or 3rd, the next finishers down in line will recieve the prizes.

That's all! Questions for Daytona will be provided within a week. Be sure to post in this thread regarding Prov points so I can sign you up and follow your starts. biggrin.gif Any suggestions or questions ask away.

Oh dont go there, pain is unreal. I just tripped on a rug before I came on here and hurt my arm ,lol.

If I get hurt again ,daughter wont help , she will kill me. I am not a nice sick person. And I need her for backup if I cant make it to the PickEms. If that is ok with all.

Now I am going down stai to get the mail without falling, God Bless me, lol. smile.gif
